VPN and Duo for Virtual Desktops

Due to heightened security awareness, access to virtual labs from off campus will require access to LMU VPN and Duo multifactor authentication.

What do you need to do?

  1. Request a VPN account, if you do not have one.
  2. Enroll in Duo NOW, if you have not already done so.
  3. Login to VPN (which will prompt a Duo login) and then access the LMU Virtual Lab.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Through VPN, ITS provides network access for remote users. Contact the ITS Service Desk at servicedesk@lmu.edu or 310.338.7777 for access.

Duo Enrollment

Student Duo enrollment at LMU began in the Spring of 2021, and will be strictly enforced starting Fall 2021. If you haven't already opted to enroll, read LMU student Duo enrollment information to get started.

What Is Duo?

Duo multi-factor authentication provides additional security for LMU systems by requiring something you know (your username and password) and something you have (such as a smartphone, a tablet, a phone, etc.) when you access any Duo-protected services.

If you have any problems with this process, or for more information, contact the ITS Service Desk at servicedesk@lmu.edu or 310.338.7777.
